In this paper, a finite difference method is presented for the initial
boundary-value problem for nonlinear Regularized Long-Wave Equation. An energy
conservative finite difference scheme of three-levels is proposed. On the basis
of an inequality about norms, convergence and stability of the difference
solution is proved. The rate of convergence of the difference solution is $O(h^{2}+\tau^{2})$.
The numerical results are presented.
